I’m convinced that each of us were put here to do great things. I’m convinced that each of us were put here to exceed our wildest imagination. However, I’m not convinced that so many of us are aware of it. Therefore, I’m more convinced that the majority of people are lying to themselves about what they will accomplish. Of course I can’t prove it but as sit back and observe the actions of most I’d bet most of my poker chips that I am correct.
Just like love too many people flippantly throw the word millionaire out there. I don’t feel that becoming a millionaire is so difficult these days. However, if that’s truly the case why haven’t I already done it. I think an illustration would best suit the answer to this question.
The Facts
- At 211 degrees Fahrenheit its just hot water
- At 212 degrees Fahrenheit its boiling water
- The hotter the water to begin with the quicker it gets to a boiling point
- Previously boiled water boils in the same amount of time as water that has never been boiled
What does all of this mean and how does it relate to becoming a millionaire? I’m not a millionaire today because I’ve only been willing to put forth enough effort to be hot water. Hot water may make you comfortable but you will not get rich until you make your life boil. Once you let the water cool down to room temperature you have to start all over again. So what I see myself experiencing is this see saw phenomenon of hot and cold and hot and cold.
Also, if you’ll notice that the hotter the water the quicker it is to boil. Therefore, If I’m able to keep myself hot then I’m bound to reach millionaire status and above. This one degree of separation makes all the difference in the world. It seems so insignificant that just one degree would separate the mediocre from the extraordinary but it does.
The ultimate question is how to you get your water to a boiling point and when you get there how do you maintain it? Listed below are some of my ideas and I’d be joyful to hear some of yours.

Do something (anything) each day to move you closer to your (BHAG) This is your Big, Harry, Audacious Goal.
- Read or watch a biography about someone that you know that is boiling or did boil while they were alive.
- Whatever endeavor you use to earn your money perform those tasks in a way that you never have before.
- See yourself on the top of the hill where the air is pure and the people are few and meet yourself there.
- Find someone who’s already a millionaire and interview them to see how a millionaire acts and thinks on a daily basis.
- Enjoy the process as you go from lukewarm to hot and eventually to a temperature that meets or exceeds 212 degrees Fahrenheit.That’s my spin on it.
