Broaden The Frame

by rbenns on December 17, 2009

Life really, really loves you.  However, if you don’t love yourself then don’t expect life to treat you any differently.  Louise Hay says that you should begin each day by saying the following words while you look in a mirror at yourself, “You know what, I really, really love you.”  Although, as she suggests, this may sound simple but there is a large segment of our population who will not be able to do it.  She also suggests that we come into the world as babies loving ourselves just as we are.  However, somewhere along our journey we have learned how to not love ourselves and oftentimes this is based on something someone has done or said to us.  We’ve taken a 360 degree turn and gone from something that was natural to something that is unnatural.

When you learn how to broaden the frame that you hold of yourself you’ll find the world opening up to you in ways that you could not imagine.  We are the ones that hold the power to put an ornate frame around the picture we hold of ourselves or we can choose to leave that beat up frame we’ve been holding onto for years.  Life has never stopped adoring you but you have been putting up tons of resistance in order to not let it happen.  When you change your thoughts about you then you change your life.  Start loving yourself and see just how easily the world starts loving you back.

That’s my spin on it.
