Change or Die

CHANGEorDIE_mech2.qxdThere’s a great book by Alan Deutschman called Change or Die.  I would suggest you pick it up and read it.  Essentially the premise of the book is that even when faced with life threatening situations you will not change.

I’m going to put a bit of a spin on it because that’s what I do.  Even when faced with the potential of financial ruin you won’t change your financial habits.  You won’t change your beliefs about money.  You won’t change your relationship with money.

Money will always rule you.  Right now in the midst of Christmas you will spend money that you don’t have for people you don’t like.  You will hustle during this time of year like you haven’t all year long to buy gifts for people who won’t even appreciate your efforts nor the gifts.

Despite all the evidence you will continue to mimic the Jones’ and you will continue to try and impress your friends with your measly possessions.  You will value things more than you value your self development.  This is what they’re saying not me.

You lack the financial kahunas to show up differently in 2010 than you did in 2009.  That’s what they say.  I just report the news I don’t make it up.  Are you changing or slowing dying?

That’s my spin on it.
