This post is near and dear to my heart. I was in a relationship for 8, almost 9 years where not only did I get the opportunity to hear AND see my partner cheating, I got the opportunity to experience it over and over again. And not with just one or two women during the course of our relationship. I'm talking at least one or two different women a month. I can not begin to tell you how much pain I experienced in those years. My heart bleed, I shed oceans of tears, waited up at night for countless hours, begged and pleaded until my voice went silent and still nothing changed. At least that is what I thought. In truth, I died a little each day. And with each death, I evolved.

I learned that in order for me to truly love another, I must first love myself. And the first order of loving myself was to let go of the toxic relationship in which I was currently engaged. I had to love myself enough to let go so that something better and more suited could replace it. And with that self-love, I learned to love another enough to let him live the life he chose for himself. As you suggested, he was having a damn good time, he was doing what brought him happiness. Who was I to stand (or try to) in the way of his happiness? I was only denying myself of MY happiness.

Yes, the truth can be difficult to hear; however, living a pitiful existence in a love-less relationship is even harder. Thanks for telling it like it T-I-S.

Not only did/do I experience this within my community, I experienced this within my home as a child. Being of mixed races, my family often 'compared' me to my sibling. I was the 'smart' one and my sister was the 'pretty' one. I grew up thinking that I was not pretty and she grew up thinking she was not smart. It is good that you have put up a mirror. Now to stand long enough to really see ourselves.

What you wrote is not Biblical. The Lord's tithe was NEVER commanded on anything that man made or earned. It was ONLY commanded on the increase of the land (crops) and animals in herds and flocks, and ONLY on the crops and animals raised in the Holy Land (see Leviticus 27:30-33). Tithing ended at the cross (see Hebrews 7:18). God defined His tithe in Leviticus 27:30-33 and then gave the law in Numbers 18. God said the tithe was to be taken to the Levites, FOREVER. God never changed that command to allow a Christian Church to accept His tithe. Hebrews 7:18 tells us that Numbers 18 was disannulled. I believe those who continued to teach and collect the tithe are involved in the largest scam/fraud this country has ever seen. Learn what the Bible really says about the tithe at www.TithingToday.com, or get the book, as a FREE download, at www.TithingBook.info. Compare God's Word with what you are taught in church and you will be shocked as I was.

In the New Testament, we are to give generously, according to our means. We are blessed when we give, NOT tithe. To use the word tithe in today's Christian Church is wrong because it infers the Biblical tithe. The Biblical tithe was PAID, not given, and was REQUIRED by command/law, not from the heart. We are under a better covenant of grace giving.

Most martial arts have a life philosophy to them…they are a way of life rather than a skill to make you a lethal weapon. And even when you have those skills they are meant to defend yourself rather than attack other people. That's how I understand it anyhow.
