Passion
It’s seems relatively easy for one to lose their moxie. I think we bury it somewhere underneath a tree in our backyard when we’re around 5 or 6 years old and it seems lost forever. I remember reading about Deepak Chopra sitting both of his young kids down and imploring them to take the time out to find their moxie. No he didn’t call it that but he did suggest that they find out two very important things in life . First, what are you here on this planet to do? Second, how can you serve humanity? He went on to tell them if they found the answers to both of those questions and they were not able to adequately care for themselves financially that he would pick up the slack. Needless to say the both of them became quite successful in life and did not need his financial assistance.
This moxie thing is a much bigger thing than I realized. In fact, I would go so far as to say its the only reason to be here. It’s the only reason for living. If you’ve lost your moxie no amount of money seems to be enough. When you lose your moxie sex is just a hum drum episode. How can you be all God meant for you to be without your moxie? It certainly goes without saying that love is dead in water when there’s no moxie.
Ok, I guess I should go ahead and define for you what I mean by the word moxie. Moxie is passion. Moxie is the strength you bring forth to do something amazing. Moxie is unbridled energy. Holding on to your moxie is staying true to yourself. Moxie is doing what you love every moment of every day regardless of the amount of money you earn. Moxie is never, never, never, never giving up on your dreams. Moxie is self confidence. Moxie is exhibiting courage to go for it. Moxie is giving your best in everything you do. Moxie is a way to change my life for the better.
What do most people regret having lost on their dying bed? Their moxie. They wished they would have went for more. They wish they would have been less afraid to try new things. They wish they would have gotten outside of their comfort zone more often. They wish they had more time so they could revive their moxie.
When you operate from moxey-ness on a moment to moment basis there are no regrets. One rule of the moxie driven person is that you do what you do simply because that’s what you enjoy doing. Often times your moxie makes no sense to others and its important for you to know that it doesn’t have to.
When you have moxie you have an amazing belief in yourself. You know without any hesitation or doubt that if you just keep going, keep moving, and keep moving that things will somehow work themselves out. Moxie is believing. So in order to be true to the role of a moxie you have to believe in it, and you also have to have a belief system that supports your moxie. When those things are in place you walk through life with certainty and conviction.
Yeah, I’ve definitely lost my moxie. Have you lost your moxie?
That’s my spin on it.
