Would you like to earn more money or less in 2010? Would you like to keep more of what you earn or less? Is there a surefire way that you can achieve both outcomes? Yes, but its going to require a different you than the one that’s reading this post. You’re going to have to acquire some link juice to get it done. I’ll explain more thoroughly in just a minute what link juice is as it relates to Internet marketing and the context in which I refer to it in this post.
What I have discovered is that most of the people that I’m around aren’t doing much better than myself. Some are doing a little better and some are a little worse. I’m speaking economically here although the economics of one’s existence often spills over into the rest of his affairs. Now this is not new because we’ve all heard that our income is the average of our five closest friends. When this is verified first hand it leaves little room for denial.
You see it’s easier to hang around those that are talking about it rather than those that are living it. There’s little or no pressure thrust upon you when your days are spent talking and hanging around the ultimate underachiever. There’s no one to hold you accountable when you fall miserably short of your intended goals. There’s no to question you when you don’t hit your target. Someone who is content with mediocrity is delighted to see you fall short because you get to remain in the mediocre tribe.
So what is link juice? Each page on the Internet has a page rank. Some pages may not be ranked at all. However if the page is indexed by Google the range of such rank is 0 to 10. If your website has a rank of 0 then you most likely get very few visitors to that website and no one knows about you. You have little to no link juice. On the other hand if your page rank hovers from 5-10 then you’ve got plenty of link juice and you have a heavily visited website or page.
So if you’re 0 page rank site is able to get a link from a 6 page rank site then it pushes your link juice up. You now have more authority. The more links you can get from the higher ranked websites the more link juice you possess. Google will begin to see you as an authority site and you will thus have more visitors. Getting links from the lower page rank sites can give you more link juice but it’s a longer road ahead.
Now imagine if you started hanging out and surrounding yourself with people who were actually doing big things with their lives? What if you were involved in a group that held your feet to a fire when you failed to reach your goals? What if you started witnessing the habits of successful people on a daily basis? What if you were around people who talked about their goals instead of other people? What if you were around people that refused to gossip? What if you were around people that did not allow you to complain or speak about your problems? What if you were around people daily who helped you to change your thinking to that which supported your dreams not sabotaged them? Do you think you just might make earn more money? Do you think you just might keep more of the money that you earned?
When you surround yourself around those with a lot of link juice you can’t help but move up through the ranks. But I already know that it won’t be easy letting go of those old friends. I also know that most of you will be unwilling to move away from the tribe. I know most of you are more committed to not hurting someone’s feelings than you are being the best you that you can be.
2010 is predicted by many to be just as tough financially as 2009. Will that be your story or will you rise above the naysayers and do whatever is necessary to harness your link juice?
