Oil and water don’t mix neither does money and lack of consciousness. We want the sugary foods but we don’t want the extra pounds. Everybody wants the money but few seem to want the consciousness that goes along with having more money.
Don’t believe me then just Google the term Gilbert Arenas. Read the first search term that pops up and draw your own conclusions about what I’m saying. Next I want you to look at the picture of him as leaves the courtroom on a felony gun charge. Do you feel those were his intentions while this incident was happening? Do you feel he knew “right” from “wrong”? Do you think there was enough evidence available of other athletes who made poor decisions and where they ended up that would aid him in making better choices?
Fred Sanford use to tell his son Lamont “you look like a real dummy up there.” How many people do we have to witness do dumb as things before we get it? I know…I know what you’re thinking if this had not been a high profile sports figure it would have been just another N_ _ _ _ _ _with a gun. You’re right.
It’s a little presumptuous of me to say that people do dumb things. People don’t do dumb things and I’ll prove it. Giving the level of consciousness that a person possess he only knows to do what he does. In fact, giving the level of consciousness of any person, If I know the level I can predict the action. Why? Because nobody does anything inappropriate given their model of the world. You better read that twice because if you understand that one sentence it will save you a lot of heartache and pain when observing the actions of others.
A dummy doesn’t know he looks like a dummy because in his world it doesn’t look or seem dumb. Get it? Their whole world is being colored by the pair of sunglasses that they have own. If they peer out through a set of green colored glasses then everything appears green. This is why personal development is key. A person’s model of the world has to be changed first before any real and lasting change can occur. Any dummy can find a way to earn lots of money but it takes a wise man to maintain it.
Many of you reading this post right now wish you had more money. You wish you had a little more cheddar so you could do more things, eliminate some debt, buy that dream car or dream house. But more money without right thinking is just pure squander. You’d just do more of what you’re doing now just on a larger scale.
The Michael Vicks and the Gilbert Arenas and the Steve McNairs of the world are just mere reflections of society at large. Yeah we get to pick at them, frown up our noses, point figures as if we were much better. If someone even threatened to open up our closet doors we’d throw a prissy fit.
It’s easy for us to sit at our cubicles or on our sofas after we’ve been a slave to the man all day and point figures. Ask yourself what are you doing to raise your consciousness? What books are your reading? Who are your best friends? What actions are you taking daily to raise your consciousness? Everyone you see is just a reflection of yourself to a greater or lesser degree.
That’s my spin on it.
