Snap Click

What You Say?

Snap – Click!

That’s what I said.

How many of you have seen Slumdog Millionaire? Well it ranked in my top 5 movies for 2008.

I enjoyed the ‘snap-clickness’ of the movie.  Let me define what I mean by snap and click.

Snap is something that happens in your life that is unforgettable. At the time it happens you may see no obvious reason for it happening and you may become a bit disturb that it is happening to you.  You may even question God.  I learned all about snap-click from my loving friend LaRue Eppler who has been such an inspiration for me.  You can find out more about LaRue and her book entitled Your Essential Whisper by going here.

There are all types of triggers to experience that snap the remembrance into your conscious awareness.  This could be the smell of someone’s perfume, a particular look in a stranger’s eye, a car accident when things seem to stand still, a song, a picture, a place where you were born, an orphanage that you lived at, rape, molestation, a fight, etc.

It is something that is embedded deep in your subconscious mind.  You rarely understand the meaning at the time although you never forget the incident and you have instant recall if something should trigger it as if it were happening in the moment.

Click occurs when the snap reveals its meaning to you. Now you understand why you went through what you went through.  Now the incident has meaning.  Now you are in the process of being transformed.  Now you feel forgiveness. Click helps you put the pieces of the puzzle together because now things CLICK. You are much fonder and now embrace the Snap because you see how it has served your higher purpose.

The Click is the silent whisper. It is the spontaneous illumination. It is your keen insight.  In all things get an understanding.

Our life is full of snap-clicks. Slumdog Millionaire is a entire movie of snap-clicks.

Here are a few from my own life…

When I was younger I delivered newspapers to homes, convenience stores and news racks. I worked seven days a week and hated it. I worked in all types of weather and longed for a weekend where I didn’t have to do anything. (no such luck) (snap- I never forgot a life of a 365 day work week)
Click – Now as an entrepreneur for more than 10 years where If I don’t kill I don’t eat I remember those days when I didn’t have a day off.  If I’m ever tempted to not press on then I remember that those days prepared me for now. I can now take off any day of the week I wish.  If it were not for those newspaper days there is no way I would be as strong mentally as I am now.

Here’s one more.

When I first graduated from college with my BA in accounting I met with a guy who gave me the following advice. He said read a book called Sweaty Palms and make yourself indispensable wherever you go.(Snap)

Click – I literally was able to get most jobs and keep them on my first attempt because I knew what to do to make myself indispensable to an employer. His advice was immeasurable. That was a long time ago but I still remember.

If you haven’t seen the movie, I’d suggest you go. If you have seen it, perhaps you will look at it with a new perspective.  Remember that your higher self always knows what the best path is for you to pursue.

I’d love for you to share a snap-click experience with me.  Be sure to pick up a copy of LaRue’s book for a deeper understanding of how the process works.

That’s my spin on it.
