The next time someone tells you about anything no matter how easy it seems I want you to turn to them and say,”It’s got to be more to it than that.”
There is nothing in this world worth doing that is going to be easy. I have coined a phrase called the iceberg illusion. The iceberg illusion happens when you think you’ve been given all the information to make an informed decision but you have not. You’re blind-sided by incomplete information.
If someone says “hey you can put up these niche websites on niche topics and earn $500 – $1,500 passively and you can have them up and going in two hours.” I want you to turn to them and say, “It’s got to be more to it than that.”
If someone says, “that you can start your own home based business with only $549 and earn $3k-5K from home only working 10-15 hours a week. “ I want you to turn to them and say, “It’s got to be more to it than that.”
If someone says, “that you can lose 30 pounds in 30 days by taking a pill without exercising.” I want you to turn to them and say, “It’s got to be more to it than that.”
If someone tells you that all you have to do is dress up real nice and go to your local bar to meet the man or woman of your dreams. I want you to turn to them and say, “It’s got to be more to it than that.”
I have found that it’s normally going to require 10 times the effort than what people often share with you. It can be done but its not going to be easy. Why do you think that so many people are stuck in cubicles today? Because to actually do something different than what they are currently doing is going to require a lot more effort.

- Market research
- Keyword research
- Be a graphics artist or locate one
- Find a hosting account
- Choose a domain
- Register a domain
- Change nameservers
- Write articles or have them written
- Find a quality article writer
- Submit the articles to article directories
- Choose a product or create your own
- Convert the ebook to a pdf
- Edit the audio or get it edited
- Upload the audio
- Burn the cd’s or have them burned
- Write a sales letter or find a good copywriter
- Design a website or buy a template
- Make the website SEO (search engine optimization) friendly
- Get traffic to the website
- Convert traffic
- Get an autoresponder
- Set up an optin form
- Write auto responders
- Create download page
- Create sales system
- Build a list
- Be a relationship with your list
And the above is just the beginning. Nothing is ever as simple as it sounds. I know most of you will read this an agree with me but you will again fall prey to the iceberg illusion. You will again approach a situation believing that you are seeing all that there is without knowing the majority of the work needed to be done is hidden from you.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you. You’ll know you’ve didn’t heed my warning when you’re cursing people out and throwing books across the room. On the other hand, if you go into anything with the belief that it’s going to take alot more work than what someone is telling you then you’ll be just fine.
