The Only Battle Is Always Within

I received the email recently reprinted below. I completely rejected the notion that I could have a television show. I still can’t say that I’m completely open to it now but I know one thing for sure is that I have a voice. Sometimes I think my voice is before its time because I see things (not dead people) that other people just don’t see. I have a way of articulating complex things and making them simple. I have a way of viewing the world where there are no victims or villains.

It hasn’t always been this way but now there is no turning back. I can’t go back to yesteryear and pretend it isn’t so. I continue to fight this battle within as we all do. I continue to argue for my limitations. I continue to care about what others think of me. I continue come up with every conceivable reason why I can’t step into my greatness. I continue to say to that I am the most unlikely one to take on such an monumental task

Others see it so why can’t I? I think I’m beginning to come around. I think I’m beginning to wake up. WAKE UP RICKEY….WAKE UP!

Thank you for the very interesting day!
I have some thoughts to share with you regarding Rickey.

Ricky has aural memory. Like some folks have photographic memory, he has aural memory. At one of the breaks I confirmed this with him. There were numerous example of this gift during your afternoon meeting.

My guess is that Rickey also has some form of synethesia. In short, he is a synesthete, which is a very interesting gift to have.

As you have no doubt noticed, Rickey is also has what I would call a “center of the stage” persona. In short, he holds “court.” He also had the undivided attention of every woman in the room at various points in the afternoon.

As a general FYI, Oprah has the same form of synethesia (whatever it might be) as Rickey. If Oprah is a 10, on a scale of 1 to 10 where 10 would be the highest indication of that form of the gift, Rickey is also a 10. You may be able to confirm this reading using AK (muscle testing). Needless to say, Oprah is also a center of the stage person and she holds “court” everyday she does her show.

Whatever form of synethesia we are talking about (and I do not know what it is called – there are many known and unknown forms), we all saw it in action when Rickey talked with Karen for that brief moment at the beginning of the meeting as well as throughout the afternoon. I’m thinking it may be the ability to “see” (or “experience”) another person’s “pain.” This is not the same thing as reading someone – as in some kind of psychic ability (although Rickey is a 6/10 in that department and Oprah is only a 3/10). I think it is some unique form of synethesia – and I think there’s a big difference between that and psychic ability – it’s what people see every day when they watch Oprah.

Rickey also has the gift of summarizing or identifying what everyone else is thinking. He can identify and vocalize the crux of the issue very quickly (whereas Paul and Rita can break it down and make it more understandable to everyone).

The bottom line: I think one of Rickey’s possible callings is have his own TV show.

I don’t know too much about creating a syndicated television show – but there is no doubt a process to that, just like anything else. I also believe there are appropriate production studios available here in Dallas, and needless to say more than enough investors, etc. In addition, SMU has a big media/communications arts masters program that I suspect is well connected to most of the resource that might be needed.

I also happen to know the name of the cameraman that CBS uses when they come to town to do segments (like a 48 hours segment). I also know a retired makeup artist who used to work in the film industry, who lives in Dallas.

I suspect all of the necessary talent and facilities are here to create the necessary “pilot” show(s) that might be needed to take to the syndication fair that I think is used to market a show to prospective licensees.

Last night I received a clear “vision” of the “Rickey Show” interviewing four people (three of them are here in Dallas and the fourth one comes to Dallas on a regular basis) as the initial pilot shows:

3. Joanne M Gallagher, CMT (body worker from Sugarloaf, PA – she has a gift that is so unique and beneficial to people that everyone should know that such a things are possible, etc.). I basically think she channels what she does, but for instance, she can hold on someone’s feet and pretty much tell them their life history of physical trauma to their body – and then generally through three sessions, she can address each of those traumas.

4. LaRue Eppler and her work and book, etc.

These four suggested folks are not necessarily in the correct order.

My guess right now is any one of these “shows” would provide a compelling example of information that people today are seeking – and the subject would give a lot of ability to exhibit Rickey’s abilities, etc. A small aware “audience” might provide the rest of the needed content and interaction – perhaps along with some “recipients” or folks who had received benefit or who had experienced being with these folks.

Obviously this is a very complex environment and working with the right people is no doubt very important. But, having the key talent has to be a big part of it, too.

I suspect for this to succeed, Rickey may benefit from having a production company formed and managed for him by helpful others. My guess is that Rickey would also benefit from having some mariners (to use Paul’s word) to help guide him. I think he might also benefit from enrolling a personal assistant who has “been there, done that” to eliminate the normal fear of the unknown in a situation like this. Catherine and I met a person like that awhile ago – she lives here in Dallas, who was the assistant to a famous musician long ago – which means she is more of a matron now than a hyper-kinetic assistant that might be needed in this kind of situation. She may not be the right person for Rickey, but that’s the kind of person that comes to mind.

Over the long-run, perhaps a really important “person” might be to find a “Mindy Moore Borman” person (see: http://www.oprah.com/pressroom/Mindy-Moore-Borman-Named-Executive-Vice-President-of-The-Dr-Oz-Show) and a Tim Bennett person (president of Harpo Productions) I think the allure of owning part of the production company might be enough to get someone like that to participate. Needless to say, folks like that are probably the ideal people to help finance such a situation, too. I think a folks like that will recognize the raw talent in Rickey, but a pilot show might really make it happen (people like this probably get 10 proposals a day to look at – and I wonder if even 2 out of 10 go to the extent of providing a real-live example of the talent at work).

Obviously, this idea could also be launched for much less investment, etc. by doing a radio show – but I think Rickey is going to prove to be very telegenic (.e. well-suited to the medium of television; especially : having an appearance and manner that are markedly attractive to television viewers), too.

Anyway, that’s my thought for the morning!
