The World Owes You Nuthin

The World Owes You NuthinMisspelling of the word nothing in the title was done intentionally to bring more impact to the word itself. I get so freakin tired of trying to motivate people who don’t want to be motivated.  Most people really wake up every morning thinking that the world owes them something.  They believe that the world owes them a chance, a break, a job, a good relationship, a supporter, a smile, and some money.

The world has already give you and me everything that we need – LIFE.  Unfortunately most of us will squander even this precious gift.  Instead of bending the universe to our own desires we just sit around and let life beat the crap out of us day in and day out.  Next, we find a convenient escape goat so that we can pacify ourselves of why our life is the way it is.  One moment it’s the economy and the next moment its our kids.

F$#! the world!  I’m now practicing the Art of Selfishness like Any Rand talks about in her landmark self-entitled book.  I’m no longer willing to drag around dead weight.  I’m not going to even point you to the water to get a drink unless you ask and even if you ask you’re going to have to ask at least twice before I even take you serious.  I’m going to get super wealthy and you can keep making excuses and arguing for your limitations.

Life is abundant.  Life is joyous.  Life is sweet.  Life is full of enormous opportunity.  If you don’t see it then its your fault.  I am being petty and pointing my finger here and saying you are the blame for what you are getting.  It’s you.  It’s you.

Here’s fair warning.  I think you should release the dead weight too.  If you’re involved in anything significant I can promise you that its holding you back big time.  Let the dead bury the dead.

That’s my spin on it.

  • I think it's damn near impossible to motivate other people. Motivation comes from within. No matter how much you want something for someone else, they have to want it more. I also think that the best way to 'show' someone what's possible for them is for you to do it first. And sometimes in order for you to 'do it' you have to let others go. I guess this is where the selfishness comes into play. That is if you believe yourself separate from another. Cause I tend to think that what you do for yourself, you do for another and what you do for another, you do for yourself.
