Recently I was listening to a call and the host of the teleseminar said, “In these uncertain times as we approach the end of the year.” When have we ever lived in “certain” times where we knew exactly what was going to happen? Isn’t that the lure which makes life – LIFE? How boring would life be if we always were certain about exactly how life would go?
I’ll admit I don’t always like not knowing what’s going to happen. However, when I think long and hard about it, its because I am refusing to grow. There’s nothing to learn from the known because you khounow it. Times will always be uncertain because life is beckoning for us to become bigger than we were yesterday. God is coaxing us to move in direction that is more in harmony with our divinity.
Have you ever seen a greyhound chase a mechanical rabbit around the track in an attempt to catch it? Well the greyhound never catches the rabbit and he never will because the game is set up that way. In a similar fashion the game of life is set up so it will always be a mystery. Just when we think we figured it out life gives us a new spin. The mere fact of trying to figure it out causes it to start spinning. Learn to be OK with living in the uncertain times because it has and always and will forever be that way. Run in the opposite direction from those that believe they’ve cracked the code on life.
Embrace change and you find that change embraces you. Resist change and uncertainty and you will find life resisting you.
