Wow! What a question? It is certainly a question worth exploring.
A better question may be who is God not?
How do you describe the indescribable? How do speak about the unspeakable? How do you know the unknowable? How do you talk about “All That Is?”
Was Buddha God? Was Krishna God? Was Jesus God? Was Mohammad God? Some would argue that the answer is “yes” to all of the above.
Is the question Who Is God even a good question?
Just imagine we started to have a conversation about the very question stated above when would the conversation end? Every time one of us got up to leave someone would utter “hey come on back because I’m not through.”
If you are the ball how do you experience yourself as being the ball? I mean how does All Of It experience itself? How does God experience herself?
Bad boy Rickey. You just got the blasphemous slap because you referred to God as a she. Well wouldn’t she fall under the category of All Of It? hmmmmmm….
I will use the word God and All Of It interchangeably because people are so emotionally charged when the word God is mentioned that I will endeavor to make it a bit more light-hearted.
OK back to the story. I only know of one way for All Of It to experience herself and that is through others. In order for All Of It to experience itself, herself, the self, All Of It must do it through me and through you.
Now All Of It was no dummy. All Of It knew that the more you realized who you are the more she would realize who she was. She could just sit back in her lounge chair in sky land and say, “How wondrous thou art.”
Yeah, the phrase “Ye Are Gods” was meant literally. Yes, you and me are God godding. We are what God is thinking. We are what God is believing. We are what God is seeing. We are what God is feeling. No more and no less.
Here’s the bonus. All Of It always gives you bonuses that’s just the way she rolls. The only way we can truly know ourselves is through All Of It. There is no other path. Many a man and whoa-man before you have unsuccessfully tried to circumvent the path only to find themselves on the road again that leads to All Of It.
So what you get to experience is what I call the Cosmic Dance Of Life. God lives through you and you live through God. How sweet is that?
You are discovering things about God everyday as you discover truths about yourself. You can never know fully who God is just as you can never completely know the depths of who you are.
It’s the ultimate game of life where’s there’s no beginning and no end.
So who is God?
