Your Life Is Not About You

Life 150x150 Your Life Is Not About YouLife is circular.  Today you’re being pushed in a baby’s carriage and tomorrow someone’s pushing you in a wheelchair.  There’s a small window of time between these two things occurring.  What you manage to do with that window is entirely of your own choosing.

The paradox is that your life is not about you but your life is about what you do with you.  The Muslims refer to this as Jihad.  Jihad is the struggle to improve the internal self.  Jihad is the battle we all have against the invisible internal “enemy.”  The struggle that man has is not between the collective man.  The struggle real struggle is between man and himself.  Man doesn’t even have to leave his home to begin to improve the world at large.

Once man begins to work on himself from the inside out two things will happen almost miraculously.  First, he will find that he possessed the power to change himself all along.  Second, he will find that the only reason he has the power is so that he can give it away to others who “need” it.

Once man gets puts his world together he will feel compelled to intervene in the lives of others who are beckoning for change.  The more he seeks to help others the more alive he feels.  He will come to understand that his life was never about him to begin with.  I’ve discovered that no matter how good you think you’ve got it if you are not endeavoring to help others there will be some event that will turn your whole world upside down.

Your Higher Self ‘s only purpose is to evolve and it will use any means necessary to bring about that experience even if it means death.  Don’t take it personal its just life.

That’s my spin on it.
